YOUTH ACTIVITIES (January 1 Deadline)

Certain funds administered by the Foundation are specifically restricted to youth activities. In order to assure that all applications seeking funding for youth activities are considered together, the Foundation asks that applications for the funding of youth activities for a particular calendar year be submitted no later than JANUARY 1 of such year.

Scholarship Funds Memorialize Local Men

In a lasting tribute to two local men, the North East Community Foundation is honored to serve as administrator of the new Jared Matthew Bifulco Scholarship Fund and the Richard Gorzynski Scholarship Fund.

In 2006, the family of Jared Bifulco established the scholarship fund in Jared's memory following his tragic death in an automobile accident. This legacy will allow the Bifulco family to award college scholarships to deserving students for many years to come.

The Richard Gorzynski Scholarship Fund was established in 2004 to honor his memory. In 2006, three graduating high school seniors received $250 college scholarships. These young men displayed the same competitive traits, spirit, athleticism and leadership qualities that Mr. Gorzynski displayed throughout his life. The scholarship winners included Mike Fitzpatrick, Kyle Kirsch, and Jordan Fargiorgio.
